Updating UTMs doesn’t mean you have to lose your social proof.
Keeping likes and comments on your ads can make them more appealing.
This article will show you how to update UTMs without losing the social proof on your Facebook Ads.
Let’s get started!
How to add NestAds UTM without losing your social proof
1. From your Ad manager, choose the Ad need to update UTMs
2. On Ad preview, click on Share > Scroll down and choose Facebook Post with Comments
3. Head to the top of the screen > Copy the Post ID as below:
Note: The Post ID appearance may be varied depending on each post
Types of Facebook Post IDs:
- Numeric Post ID: This is the most common type of post ID. It consists solely of numbers and is unique to each post. For example, a numeric post ID might look something like “1234567890123456”.
- Alphanumeric Post ID: Some post IDs may include both numbers and letters (like above). This is often the case with newer posts or posts that are part of certain tests or special implementations by Facebook.
4. Go back to Ad manager > click on (+) Create > choose the ad name (optional) > click Continue
5. On Ad Setup field, choose Use existing post option > paste the Post ID in Enter post ID box > click on Submit
6. On NestAds dashboard, navigate to Pixels section > click on Tracking Settings > Google Ads > click on Copy button to copy tracking parameter
7. Paste the tracking parameter into the URL parameters in your Facebook ad > click on Publish
That’s done! Now you can update your UTMs as well as keep all the social proofs.
