Language Configuration feature allows you to translate the Estimated Delivery Date widget into multiple languages. This ensures the widget text aligns with the languages available in your store –  creating a seamless and localized shopping experience for your customers.

In this post, we’ll walk you through how to set up different languages for your widget in NS Estimated Delivery Date app. Let’s get started!

How Language Configuration Works

If your Shopify store offers multiple published languages, you can use this feature to configure a version of the EDD widget for each one.

To check your store’s available languages:

  • Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Languages

How to Configure Multiple Languages for Your EDD Widget

📌 Note: The Language Configuration feature is available on the Growth and Pro plans. Start with a 7-day free trial.

Step-by-step setup:

  1. Navigate to the Language Configuration page in the app
  2. Click Add Language
  3. Select the desired language
  4. Customize the widget and cut-off time as needed

Widget Settings

You can personalize the following for each language:

  • Text Settings: Customize the widget message in the selected language
  • Date Format: Set a language-specific date format (e.g. DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Label Icon: Update or translate the label text

Click on the Save button at the top of the page to save all your changes.

Cut-off Time Configuration (Optional)

If your widget includes a cut-off time, you can localize the messaging around it:

Text

  • First Input: Text shown before the cut-off time
  • Last Input: Text shown after the cut-off time

Unit of time

  • Hours
  • Minutes
  • Seconds

Click on the Save button at the top of the page to save all your changes.

Note:

The cut-off time displayed in the widget is based on the time set in your Global Rules.

If you’ve configured different cut-off times in Product Rules or Collection Rules, the app will follow this priority order for displaying the correct setting:

  • Product Rule > Collection Rule > Global Rule

This means the Product Rule takes the highest priority, followed by Collection Rule, and then Global Rule.
